About Blackwater Electric
01Who is Blackwater Electric Limited?
Blackwater Electric Limited is Andy's electrical firm, registered at Lowlands Road in Blackwater near Camberley (company no. 14747503, incorporated in 2023). Andy is a NAPIT Assured member, #72260, and every installation is completed to BS 7671. The firm holds 102 five-star Google reviews at a perfect 5.0 average.
What makes you different from other local electricians?
Two things, both verifiable. First, the reviews — 102 of them on Google, every single one a five star. Second, you deal with Andy himself from first quote to final certificate; reviewers name him again and again for clear advice, fair pricing and tidy work.
What area do you cover?
We cover 33 towns and villages across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire — including Farnham, Camberley, Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Guildford, Sandhurst and Bracknell — from our base in Blackwater. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask.
Booking & on the day
02How do I arrange a job?
Call or text Andy on 07944 674644, email andy@blackwaterelectric.co.uk, or use the contact form. You arrange everything with Andy directly — it's the quickest way to sort a date and get a quote.
What are your hours?
We work Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and we're closed at weekends. Call or text Andy during the week and he'll book a day that suits you.
How quickly can you attend?
It depends on the diary, but Andy doesn't drag jobs out — one customer had their whole job completed within two days of first getting in touch. For anything urgent, calling or texting is always fastest.
Will I have to wait in all day?
No. Andy agrees a day and a rough time when you book and keeps you posted — “reliable, stayed in touch and completed the job on time” is how one customer put it. You won't be left guessing.
Who actually comes to do the work?
Andy does. He quotes the job, carries out the work and signs it off himself — the same person start to finish, which is exactly why his name is all over the reviews.
Credentials & standards
03What does NAPIT Assured actually mean for me?
NAPIT is a government-approved competent-person scheme. As a NAPIT Assured member (#72260), Andy is assessed against the national electrical safety standards and can self-certify notifiable work in your home to Building Regulations — so you don't pay a separate building-control inspection fee.
Is your work certified?
Yes. Depending on the job you'll receive an installation certificate, a minor works certificate, or an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). Every installation is completed to BS 7671, the current UK wiring standard, and the firm is BS 7671 A4 compliant.
Are you a proper registered company?
Yes — Blackwater Electric Limited is a registered limited company, Companies House number 14747503, incorporated on 21 March 2023 and registered at 25 Lowlands Rd, Blackwater, Camberley GU17 0AL.
Services & certificates
04Can you upgrade my consumer unit or fuse board?
Yes — this is one of Andy's most-requested jobs. He replaces ageing fuse boards with a modern consumer unit fitted with individual RCBOs, a surge protection device (SPD) and a non-combustible enclosure, then tests and certifies it to BS 7671.
Can you install an EV charger?
Yes. Andy installs certified home EV charging points, designed around your property layout and driveway, connected back to your consumer unit with the right protection and completed to meet the current building regulations.
Do you carry out EICRs for landlords and buyers?
Yes. Andy provides Electrical Installation Condition Reports for landlords and letting agents meeting their legal obligations, and for home buyers who want certainty before they commit. Findings are explained clearly rather than buried in jargon.
Can you install fire and smoke alarms?
Yes. We install Grade-A, mains-powered smoke and heat detection, interlinked and fitted to the current UK standards — the right coverage for your layout, wired in properly and certified.
Do you do rewires and extension wiring?
Yes. We carry out full domestic rewires of older properties and complete first-fix and final wiring for extensions — circuits, boards and fittings, all designed and certified to current regulations.
Can you help with a kitchen renovation?
Yes. We handle the electrical side of kitchen upgrades — appliance circuits, worktop and island sockets, lighting and extraction — coordinated with the rest of the build so the electrics are ready when the kitchen is.
What about smaller jobs — an extra socket or a light fitting?
We take those on too. Extra sockets, fitting a light fixture, swapping a switch, minor domestic work — quoted clearly, done neatly and left safe, with the same care as the bigger installs.
My electrics keep tripping — can you find the fault?
Yes. Fault finding and testing is core work. Andy traces tripping circuits, dead sockets and flickering lights to the cause, fixes it properly, and tests the circuit so you know it's sound.
What is an RCBO and do I need one?
An RCBO is a residual-current breaker with built-in overcurrent protection. Fitting individual RCBOs means a single fault trips only its own circuit rather than the whole property — so you're not left in the dark. Andy fits them as part of a board upgrade or on their own.
Quotes & getting in touch
05How do I get a quote?
Send Andy the details — call, text a photo of the job, or use the contact form. He'll discuss the options and design with you and give you a clear price before any work begins. Customers rate his advice and pricing 100%.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the job, but Andy prices honestly and talks you through the sensible option rather than the most expensive one. “Very good price” and “100%… on pricing” come straight from his reviews. Get in touch and he'll quote it clearly.
